So to start out the technical pages, here's a link to the original Ford Escort Rally Car Preparation Manual. This manual is a must read for anyone seriously considering building a rally car, especially if it's RWD and a solid axle. But there's also a plethora of other useful information in the manual that is useful to read and absorb, and when you're thinking about doing something lame, like leave the drum brakes on the rear of your car, you can read this and remember that even 40 years ago they were recommending real brakes.
