Biography

Grant Hughes - Driver
I grew up in Wyoming and was an avid and sponsored skateboarder. I gave up skateboarding and I started rallying as soon as I moved to Colorado and discovered that rallying existed outside of Europe. I started in rallycross then bought an old Dodge Colt for stage rally. The car was difficult to drive and I had to put a ton of money and work into making it able to compete. After only one stage rally event, followed by not finishing the only two hill climb events I ran due to mechanical problems, I sold the car. I took some time off from driving to have some fun codriving while I built my new car. In my one year as a codriver I claimed a Pike's Peak Open win, CHCA championship, and a Rally America stage rally win. But I never quit building my car and always approached codriving as a way to further my driving ability. Now that I've completed the car I'm excited to further my development and extend my calendar each year.

Scott McCarty - Codriver
This season will be Scott's first year codriving. Scott's originally from Laramie, Wyoming where he obtained a degree from Wyotech shortly before relocating to Denver to work for Land Rover as an automotive technician. He's been racing a Subaru in the SCCA rallycross program for the past few seasons and looks at codriving as a great introduction to full stage rally. He did excellent in the car the first time out and his automotive skills combined with his calm nature and smooth pace note delivery style result in a codriver who is invaluable to the team.
